Fairway Market

I have a few different options when it comes to grocery shopping here in Brooklyn.  I can a. order my groceries on-line, then have them delivered  b. walk to the nearest market, select my groceries, then have them delivered  or c. drive to Brooklyn's big Fairway Market, select groceries, then actually drive them home myself.

I know what you’re thinking.  Of course, driving out to the bigger market seems most logical.  But consider the following:  1. the market is typically so crowded that I lose my cool shopping with two children, and 2. I rarely find parking right near my apartment building after the event and so bringing in groceries can prove to be a challenge.

But, I do love Fairway Market.  Occasionally, we will use Saturday to grocery shop- that way Blake is there to help.  Evelyn and Dane LOVE to go to Fairway.  You wouldn’t believe all of the amazing cheeses, seafood, olives, baked goods.  It’s a cool place- very unique to the area.  The market also has a café with outdoor seating in the back, complete with beautiful views of the water and Statue of Liberty.  And, that’s the real reason Evy and Dane like to shop at Fairway with Dad.  He’ll usually buy them a cupcake at the café while I shop.

So… if you come out to visit- I may just take you to our Brooklyn grocery store.  It's that cool.
