Photography Assignments

My photography courses are so interesting this semester.  I’ve mentioned before that I’m taking a beginning photoshop class.  I’m also taking a visualization class- which has been a huge pain at times, as I’ve never believed myself to be much of an artist. That being said, the course has forced me to step it up a level, and I’m glad for that.

I know many are interested in photography, so I thought I’d share a few of the assignments for others to try out.  As I said, they are good exercises to help one think outside of the box.

The best part about these classes are the images I’ve collected that illustrate various people and places  in Brooklyn.

Try it out for yourself- I’m sure you’ll be impressed with what you come up with.  I'm definitely amateur, but it is still a lot of fun.

The first week we were asked to take a photograph of “fear.”  I walked to Greenwood Cemetery and found this tombstone.   My biggest fear is losing a loved one- especially Blake,  so the subject fit well.  Others in my classphotographed spiders, dark halls, home intrusions, etc.
