Beautiful November

We’ve had such an amazing month of November—in more ways than one! It’s been so wonderful to have Grant here with our family. The sun has been shining more days than not—and so we have definitely taken advantage of the gorgeous weather. I think the kids’ favorite activity in the world is throwing leaves around at one another. I love taking pictures of them in the midst of it all.

And of course, I’m just so happy to NOT be pregnant anymore— the sleepless nights are an adjustment, but they don’t last forever. Can’t believe Grant has been here for almost a month! Dane and Evelyn both adore him. Yesterday, Evelyn had a special day at school. I came in before lunch with pictures of Grant and she was able to talk about him with all of her friends and then answer all sorts of questions. It was so precious to hear her talk about her little baby brother. Dane has taken up a few new chores around here—all of his own accord. Every time he sees me sit down to nurse Grant, he pulls out a diaper from our baby basket and brings the wipes over. He then waits patiently and picks up the diaper to put in the trash. It’s so cute, as he is never even asked to do these things—he just chooses to help—and it is a help!

We also have our moments of absolute craziness—always around 4 or 5 in the evenings and sometimes lasting until bedtime at 8. Wow. Grant is a little fussy, the kids are wild, our apartment seems smaller than ever with baby contraptions in every direction. But again, I know I will adjust to three soon—and for now, I’m taking it day by day—feeling very blessed!
