For his fifth birthday, Dane decided upon a snake themed family party. Snakes are very much a favorite for our little boy and he never tires of reading or watching anything on the subject. Grammy and Papa were in town so it truly was a treat! Dane patiently awaited all month for their visit to arrive, believing in his little mind that they were coming for the sole purpose of celebrating his birthday. Of course, I never told him otherwise—it was sweet.
We started out the day painting wooden cobras and decorating the family room with plenty of fun plastic snakes. Dane loved our little snake party hats and all the snake themed foods like baby snakes (cheetos) and snake eggs (grapes). We enjoyed a few party games with Grammy and Papa—snake racing, pass the snake, snake hunt in the backyard and even limbo—using a long plastic snake for our stick. And of course the highlight of the day—opening presents! It was a fun little party celebrating our sweet little Dane Edward Marston!
