Summertime visiters

One of my very favorite parts of summer is all of the special visits from friends and family! And so we were thrilled to welcome the last day of school with the Rustands in town.  Evelyn in particular was eager to see her best little friend Ella... the girls had been here only minutes before a dance routine had begun to be choreographed!  Of course, my boys LOVE to hang out with Blake-- and it's rare that he's able to join the group with all of his sports camps and leagues.  So, having him here this time, they were in heaven playing handball, soccer, and basketball together.  Kate and Quinn are such great little helpers with Anna.  I hardly had to do any care-taking!  We spent most of our vacation at the beach--Del Mar, La Jolla Shores and Coronado.  We went downtown sans kids one evening, visited Old Town and the Mormon Battalion.  Its fun to take advantage of all the awesome sights and events San Diego has to offer.... we sometimes get into a rut; houseguests are a great motivator for getting out and doing.  We love these friends of ours-- we are always so happy when they pay a visit.  Happy Summer!
