Grammy's visit

We had such a fun visit with my Mom in town last week!  She had taken time out of an extremely busy schedule of tending to newborn babes to come be with us while Aaron's mother was in town helping Michelle.  And now she'll return to more of the same fun duties!  With Scout and Olive, and tomorrow.... little Wade also to join the world (Mike and Jessica's baby)... there is so much joy!  It's pretty exciting.

Of course, I had scheduled the week so that we could do some shopping, crating, baking and all those sorts of things that I love to do with my Mom.  The kids all put in a request for a personal baking session! Evelyn chose chocolate chip cookies, Dane chose chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and Grant chose brownies.  So cute...they were in heaven!  I rarely bake these days, so it was fun for them to have that experience and especially the one on one.

My mom and I had fun putting together a spring wreath for my front door, Easter visiting teaching gifts, Bunny Bait for the kids' friends, and a cute little candy bouquet for the kids.  Blake was kind to watch the kids all day friday so that my Mom and I could spend a leisurely day out shopping and relaxing.  I loved every minute!

We had fun attending the kids' games and activities, and just going about business as usual.  That's how it usually is, but with my Mom here to chat with and to help out, every day is happy and fun.  It was a wonderful visit and I miss her already!

Anna putting on Dane's soccer cleats... a favorite activity for her!

My Mom bought Ev a knitting loom for knitting hats.... this is a finished hat Ev made for Scout!
