While they were sleeping.....
The ol' broken arm trick
Left this unpaid parking ticket on Blake's desk.... he's so smart and noticed I hadn't changed the date!
My Mom also got my Dad this year by placing a bunch of dirt mounds all over the backyard so he'd assume moles had invaded!
Evelyn continues to become more like a teenager everyday (yikes!). Her closest friend (a year older) has an iPod with Facetime option. Yeah... Evelyn's chatting away with her pretty much as often as she's allowed! She is still very responsible with homework, piano and chores... but her greatest hobbies these days are listening to music, talking to Reha on Facebook, shopping, and putting together outfits. I mean... she's 10, not 15! I don't want her to grow up!
That being said..... it is so fun to see her little personality blossom and develop. She is so funny, so confident, so cute. I adore her. Lately, she's been wanting to stay home while I chauffeur boys to soccer and/or other errands. I miss her when she's at home. It feels weird that she's not always with us-- doing the daily grind! I told her today, not only is she my bestie, but also my assistant, and Anna's second mother! When she's not around, it's not the same. We are trying to work on a compromise so that she isn't always begging to stay home....
Above is a sweet picture of Ev and I at the Miss RB pageant where one of my Laurels ran for Miss RB and won runner up! Love that Evelyn noticed that my Laurel did not wear an immodest dress-- it was a fun night.
Can't believe my little Grant will be a kindergarten kid next year! He's had such an amazing teacher (Mrs. Iler) and classroom full of kids. I love all of his fun classmates-- love volunteering and getting to know them. Grant is turning out to be a wonderful friend-- his social skills are increasing along with his academic development! So proud of him. He's always been eager to be a big kid. Man, can't believe it's happening right before my eyes!
Grant's classroom is right next door to Dane's classroom and I'm pretty fond of Dane's teacher (Ms. Blais) and classmates as well. I love the social skills curriculum we've worked on this year- I teach every other week and that's been about perfect. Not too much, not too little. So fun this month to watch Dane perform in a little play his 2nd grade class put on. He was very into this play-- so unlike him! He learned his part perfectly and could hardly wait for us to see it. So adorable that Evelyn asked her teacher if she could skip recess to see him perform. Loved having her there too! Oh- and of course, Anna was his biggest fan!
A few fun activities we've worked on in YW this month: Tying fleece blankets for a family in our ward who recently lost a baby; bleaching volleyball t-shirts for our upcoming Stake Volleyball season! I am starting to feel more and more comfortable in my new calling and definitely feel less overwhelmed. Camp is coming up and I'm actually quite excited about it! I love those girls!
Such a funny night-- we had mutual on April Fool's Day-- I told the girls that the General Authorities had decided to add 8 more values to the Personal Progress program! Haha.
Towards the end of the month, we enjoyed an awesome day at the park, celebrating our sweet little Zara Joffs! It was chilly, but it was so fun to see our friends and share in the celebration with them.
