We lucked out this Spring in the visitor department! Grammy and Papa came down to visit for a quick weekend before departing on a cruise out of San Diego headed for Canada. I think that's a new record for my Dad who usually only visits once a year;) It was so fun to have them here for the weekend and of course, we spent much of that time out and about sight seeing and enjoying the beautiful San Diego scenery. Highlights included: hiking Torrey Pines and then spending some time on the beach there; Visiting LegoLand; and a trip down to Balboa Park... we loved the Fleet Science Museum and I was shocked to discover I'd never taken my parents there to explore the beautiful grounds! It was a wonderful outing. My parents enjoyed visiting the Rancho Penesquitos Street Fair where Blake had an awesome booth set up for Marston Orthodontics. We had fun sneaking in a quick lunch at Smash Burger, a family favorite. One of the most fun parts of the weekend for my kids was introducing "Night at the Museum" parts I, II, and III to my parents. These shows are a favorite for our family and it was so cool to watch with Grammy and Papa who had never seen it. Movie nights are always fun-- especially for my little crew. As always, we had an amazing time and felt so grateful for the time we were able to send together.
